Winter Passage

Three women artists from three different countries explore boundaries and reflecting images. Winter Passage considers our messages, words and movement.

My installation consists of three large spheres, heavy enough to stay on the ground yet light enough to move in the wind or breeze , which dictates their movements at the nave of the ruined church on a winter's journey. They echo the sky and bare trees outside, the stone of the floor and the walls of the chapel. They refer to the magic of three, three wishes, three graces and the rule of thirds in art composition , the subject isn't centred; rather, the main focal point can be to one side or at the top or bottom of the image.
